Hole Overview
The sixth hole is another strong strategic test that demands careful planning from the tee. A wide fairway may tempt players to reach for driver, but with Out of Bounds running down the left-hand side and a series of valleys and mounds that can funnel shots further left, precision is more important than it first appears.
Approach play is equally strategic, with an elevated green framed by mature gum trees guarding the right-hand side. This creates a narrow and well-protected target, rewarding disciplined positioning throughout the hole.
Playing Tips
From the tee, Aggressive players can take on a high draw down the right side, carrying the mounds and potentially leaving a short approach into the green. Care is required, as a wayward drive can kick off the mounds into the OOB, or travel too far right, leaving you blocked out by the trees adjacent to the green.
The safer option is to lay up with a shorter club to the base of the mounds, opening up the hole for a simple nine iron or wedge approach.
The green sits elevated on a hill, with a cluster of mature gum trees guarding the right-hand side. To create birdie opportunities, players will need to challenge the left edge of the gums, playing in with height to land the ball softly and allow it to feed towards the centre of the green.
Subtle but deceptive, the green has more movement and pace than it first appears, careful distance control is essential.
