Hole Overview
The fourth hole is an engaging test that rewards smart strategy and precise execution. From the tee, the fairway turns sharply to the left, demanding either well-judged placement or a shaped shot to avoid running out of room on the right-hand side.
The approach is to a narrow green that slopes from left to right, placing a premium on accuracy. A large bunker guards the front, ready to catch any underhit or misjudged approach.
A thought-provoking hole that keeps you committed to every decision, it’s one where positioning and control are key to scoring well.
Playing Tips
Club selection off the tee is largely dictated by the wind. Downwind, a three wood or hybrid over the 150m marker is ideal, while into the breeze, a driver aimed over or just left of the marker will hold its line. There’s little benefit in being overly aggressive, most drivers risk running into the treeline on the right.
The green is long and narrow, demanding a precise pitching wedge or sand wedge into the green. Favour the left side on approach, even if it means flirting with the edge of the bunker, as this provides a far safer margin.
Avoid missing the green on the right hand side it leaves a very difficult recovery and almost guarantees a dropped shot if you miss there.
