Hole Overview
The thirteenth hole offers a welcome reprieve from the previous tee shots, with a wide, inviting fairway encouraging a confident drive. However, danger still lurks… A fairway bunker sits 170 metres down the right, while a water hazard awaits those who stray too far left around 160 metres from the tee.
The hole gently bends to the left and rises subtly toward the green, setting up a thoughtful approach. A false front and left-to-right slope on the green demand precise distance control and smart targeting.
A more forgiving tee shot is balanced by an approach that rewards accuracy and discipline.
Playing Tips
This hole often plays longer than its yardage suggests, so plan accordingly. From the tee, the ideal line is just right of the 150m marker, allowing for either a gentle draw or fade. This keeps you clear of the fairway bunker and the dense shrub on the right that can easily claim wayward drives.
The approach calls for precision into a long, narrow green that naturally feeds from right to left. Favour the middle-left portion of the green, but avoid missing too far left, where mounds create a very challenging recovery.
Take an extra half club into account, the slight incline and prevailing head breeze often demand it. On the greens, trust your read but be cautious not to overplay the break; putts here tend to hold their line more than expected.
