Hole Overview
The second hole is a long, undulating par 5 that offers both challenge and opportunity. From the tee, players must thread their drive between towering gum trees that punish any wayward shots. Beyond this, the hole opens up and falls gently downhill, guiding play towards water hazards that line both sides of the fairway and demand careful positioning.
The green sits elevated atop a rise, adding complexity to the approach. A natural bowl shapes the back and right-hand side, while a well-placed bunker on the right guards the putting surface and tests touch around the green.
An exciting risk-and-reward hole, it encourages aggressive play while rewarding those who manage their position wisely.
Playing Tips
A well-placed drive down the left-hand side of the fairway sets up a genuine chance to reach the green in two. From the fairway, confident ball-strikers can take on the shot over the water, leaving a short uphill chip into the green.
If you’re out of position off the tee, the smarter play is to lay up with an iron short of the water, setting up a controlled full wedge for your approach.
The green itself demands respect, sloping from back to front. Staying below the hole is key, anything long will leave a quick, slippery downhill putt that’s difficult to control.
