Hole Overview
The third hole is a gently left-to-right sloping par 4 that rewards a well-struck drive with a shorter approach into the green. Positioning from the tee is key to setting up the best angle.
The green features a pronounced right-to-left slope, placing a premium on accuracy with your approach. Shots finishing on the high side will leave a fast, challenging downhill putt.
Misses short left should be avoided, with a large gum tree and surrounding depression creating a difficult up-and-down. A hole that favours precision and smart placement over power,
Playing Tips
Strong hitters can take an aggressive line from the tee, aiming over the large tree on the right-hand side to shorten the hole and set up an easy approach. For most golfers, a controlled tee shot is the smarter play, a well-shaped fade (for a right-handed player) fits the hole nicely and will leave you in an ideal position.
With a pronounced right-to-left slope to navigate. An approach favouring the lower side of the green will leave a more manageable uphill putt. Avoid finishing above the hole, as downhill putts can be quick and difficult to control.
Prioritise positioning and smart targets to give yourself the best chance at an easy up-and-down or birdie opportunity.
