Hole Overview
The seventeenth is a long, straight par four framed by towering gum trees, demanding accuracy from the tee. The fairway plays on a gentle incline all the way to the green, adding to the challenge of distance control on both shots.
The approach is to a long, narrow green that slopes away on all sides, making precise positioning essential. A well-executed tee shot and controlled approach are key to avoiding trouble and setting up a makeable putt.
Playing Tips
The seventeenth is the straightest hole on the course, so the priority off the tee is simple, find the middle of the fairway.
If you do miss, the right side is the safer option, still leaving a playable shot into the green, while the left brings more difficulty into play. The approach leads to a long, narrow green that slopes away on both sides, so the smartest play is to favour the centre and accept a longer putt.
On the greens, rolls are generally true and consistent, so trust your read and focus on smooth pace control.
