Golf pro and mum making her mark at Yarrambat
In today’s fast-paced world, mothers are constantly navigating multiple roles. Pursuing careers, nurturing their passions and raising families, often without missing a beat. We’re proud to spotlight our very own Jessica Boyce, a WPGA Tour of Australasia Golf Professional, who shows how it’s possible to balance it all, if that’s what you choose to do, of course.
Since joining Yarrambat Park Golf Course in 2023 as a Pro Shop Attendant, Jessica is now leading Yarrambat’s Women’s Clinics and says, “My career, my love for golf and being a mum to my daughter Inala are all huge parts of my life, I couldn’t imagine one without the others”.
Jessica’s golfing journey spans over two decades. She’s represented Victoria’s state team, played college golf in Texas, USA and competed on some of the world’s finest courses. Now, she shares her extensive knowledge with members and guests at Yarrambat Park Golf Course.
While Jessica excels on the course, her passion lies in coaching. She leads Golf Australia’s Get into Golf Programs and Junior MyGolf clinics, excited to introduce golfers of all ages to the sport she loves.
“Golf is a hard game to master, so continuous training and practice are essential to always improving,” she says. “I love to be able to pass on my expertise while also learning from the amazing people here at Yarrambat.”
For Jessica, family is at the heart of everything she does. “Touring can take its toll on athletes, but I have great family support and they push me to be the best I can be,” she says.
“Mother’s Day reminds me of the joy that comes with being a mum. I’m so grateful for my family. For me, it’s about showing Inala that you can have a fulfilling career and a loving family.”
This Mother’s Day, we celebrate Jessica and all the mums and mother figures who inspire us with their strength and are defining success on their own terms. We are wishing you all a very Happy Mother’s Day this weekend!
